Our Trainers

Our trainers are a diverse group of experienced professionals, each running their own independent training business on-site. From dressage to jumping to eventing, they bring years of expertise and a genuine passion for horses and riders alike. Because each trainer operates independently, you're free to choose the training style, schedule, and approach that fits you and your horse best.

Sophie Shain
Hunter / Jumper

Sophie began riding around age 7 in Seattle, Washington, and went on to compete successfully throughout the West Coast and Canada as a junior in the hunters, jumpers and equitation/medals. During college, she rode NCAA/NCEA for Baylor University, earning a National Championship.

In 2012, Sophie had the opportunity to work and ride in Argentina, where she specialized in starting young horses.

Sophie is passionate about teaching the how and why behind horsemanship and care. Her favorite part of coaching is developing young and beginner riders, helping them build the skills and confidence to achieve their goals.

Amanda Moore
Dressage

Amanda Moore has spent her life around horses—her mother was an avid rider, and Amanda's own horsey journey began before she could walk. Growing up in the equestrian world, she developed a lifelong passion for the sport and now happily calls it home.

A USDF bronze and silver medalist, Amanda brings over 30 years of experience showing dressage, along with experience riding and showing through Level 5 in working equitation. Over the years, she has grown extensively as a dressage trainer, and she's excited to pass that knowledge and expertise on to her students.

Amanda loves helping riders build a true connection with their horses, and believes dressage is a wonderful and essential tool for helping both horse and rider reach their goals. Feel free to contact her for lessons, training, and other equestrian services.

Irina Rapport
Eventing & Working Equitation

Irina has been around horses since she was four years old. Growing up in Florida, Texas, and now Colorado, she rode any horse that came her way and trained across a wide range of disciplines, including hunter/jumper, classical dressage, ranch sorting/team penning and roping. Today her focus is eventing and working equitation.

Irina teaches on a safety-first basis, with an emphasis on connecting with the horse, finding joy in riding, building new skills, and leveling up horse-and-rider pairs. She has trained under top names in the industry, including George Morris, Anne Kursinski and Sharon White.

One of Irina's proudest moments was placing top 3 in the Colorado Horse Rescue Peak 100 Day Training Challenge with her pony Fletcher. Both of her ponies, Sunny and Fletcher, are rescues, and she has a particular passion for working with rescue horses and others who need extra help and fair guidance. Her goal is to one day earn her USDF Bronze medal in dressage.

Outside the barn, Irina enjoys spending time with her husband, swimming, and trail riding.

Delanee Kahl
Hunter / Jumper

Delanee lived on the East Coast in New York and Connecticut until age 15, when she moved to Colorado with her family. Before leaving the East Coast, she trained at New Canaan Mounted Troop, a junior cavalry whose intensive program combined riding with leadership training—an approach Delanee continues to draw from in her own teaching today. Grounded in a strong work ethic, her students learn horsemanship, riding, and stable management, all while fostering the unique respect and connection that only a horse can give its rider.

Horses have always been a passion for Delanee, not just as partners in riding, but as animals to learn from. In addition to working with and for numerous hunter/jumper trainers in Colorado, Arizona, and California, Delanee finds tremendous value in natural horsemanship training and the skills it teaches riders for building real, positive relationships with their equine partners.
